"Checkout was absolutely impossible"
I tried ordering a few things, and I’m telling you, the checkout was a complete disaster. It kept rejecting my card for no obvious reason, then when I refreshed, my basket had changed like it had a mind of its own. There wasn’t even a clear error message to explain what was going on. I gave up in the end because there was no way I was getting that order through. Super annoying

My order did arrive fine in the end, so no major complaints there. The only thing I’d say is that the communication could’ve been a little better. I had to follow up a couple of times to get updates, and there were moments where I wasn’t totally sure what was going on. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, just think a bit more clarity along the way would’ve made it smoother

I’ve ordered from here a few times and they do have a nice mix of German products, especially sweets, meats, and pantry staples. Compared with a couple of other German food shops I’ve used, the range is decent, but it doesn’t always have everything I’m looking for. A few of my favourites are missing, and sometimes items show as out of stock when I check. Overall it’s a good option, I just wish the selection was a bit more reliable and complete.

"Lost trust after a messy refund experience"
I had an issue with my order the way the refund/replacement was handled really put me off. I had to keep chasing for updates, and it never felt like anyone was actually taking ownership of it. What should’ve been simple turned into a hassle, and it’s definitely made me lose trust in ordering from them again...

"Delivery was kinda hit or miss"
I ordered from here twice... first time it showed up quick, no issues. Second time though it was a few days late which was a bit annoying. Food itself was fine, just not sure I’d count on the delivery being super reliable.

My order showed up and most of it was correct, but one item wasn’t the one I actually chose. It was close enough that it wasn’t a total disaster, but still frustrating because I specifically wanted the original product. Delivery was fine and everything was packed well, so no issues there. I might order again, but just a heads up to others: check your items carefully when they arrive because they may not get everything exactly right

They do have some nice vegan options, which is great. Not exactly an overwhelming selection, because apparently that would be too generous, but the bits they do have are good.

"I do like some of the German..."
I do like some of the German stuff they carry, and it’s nice to find products that aren’t always easy to get elsewhere. But the prices feel steep for what you’re actually getting. A few things were way more expensive than I expected, and once delivery is added, it kind of feels like they know people will pay extra just because these items are harder to find. I might order again if I’m really craving something specific, but I wouldn’t use it for regular shopping.

"Really not worth the money"
I ordered a few German snacks and bits from German Deli, and I came away feeling a bit mugged off. The prices looked steep already, but once delivery was added on it really didn’t feel worth it at all.
A couple of things were smaller than I expected, and none of it felt like decent value. I know imported food costs more, but there’s a difference between that and paying over the odds for fairly basic stuff. The website has all the usual polished wording about quality and service, but what turned up didn’t really match that for me. I won’t be ordering again.

"Got help fast after emailing"
I had a little problem with my order, nothing huge, so I sent them an email. They replied quicker than I expected and basically took care of it without making it a whole thing. It wasn’t all perfect, there was still a bit of back and forth, but overall the customer service was solid.

I ordered a few snacks and some sausages from germandeli.co.uk, and to be fair, most of it turned up packed properly and tasted pretty much how I remember it from Germany. That part was great, no complaints there.
The delivery did take longer than I wanted, and I’m not the most patient person when I’m waiting for food I’m actually looking forward to. Still, it wasn’t a disaster. Prices are okay too, not exactly cheap, but fair enough for what you get. I’d probably order again.

"I was going to order a..."
I was going to order a few bits from germandeli.co.uk, but the shipping cost was way too high. It was almost the same as the items themselves, well, not quite, but close enough that I just couldn’t justify it. Bit of a shame really, because I did want the stuff, but I probably won’t bother again unless they bring the delivery prices down.

"Delivery took forever"
I waited way longer than I expected for the delivery. It wasn’t just a little late, like 10 minutes or even half an hour, it felt like the kind of delay where you keep checking the tracking, then check your door, then check your phone again, and still nothing. I’ve had packages, food orders, and even random online stuff show up faster than this, so it was frustrating.
